AC - DC  switching  power supply power module sealing is very important, which not only involves the AC - DC power module protection, (waterproof, moisture-proof, dustproof, anti-corrosion, etc.), but also involves AC - DC power module thermal design.Switching Power module sealing materials commonly divided into three categories: epoxy resin, polyurethane and silicone rubber.  

Epoxy resin cannot be used for stress sensitive and contains patch element module potting due to the hardness, basicly has eliminated in the module power supply. But because of the low cost , the epoxy resin is being used for some highly requests micro power sources application. In the domestic some bad power supply manufacturers still use this epoxy resin in AC - DC converter power supply module , but as a result of stress, the power supply failure rate is very high, buyers are afraid to purchase such kind of converters. 

Now most power supplies use silicone to seal the power converters, this kind of silica gel is generally is 1:1 ratio, convenient operation, When design of AC - DC power supply module have to pay attention to the coefficient of thermal conductivity sealing. Adhesive ability is not too strong, and  you can use the bottom coating to improve.Polyurethane application over a period of time in China, but due to its high hardness, inconvenient maintenance, and relates to silicone rubber price factors, Basically No useage till now.
