China telecom has launched "240v dc power supply equipment procurement" bidding. Procure includes 34 sets of small capacity 240v dc power supply equipment (400 a and below), and 111 sets of large capacity 240v dc power supply equipment (more than 400 a).The procurement of equipment will be used in China telecom group co., LTD and its subsidiaries and branches in all kinds of engineering in 2014.
As early as 2007, China telecom began to 240v HVDC (high voltage direct current) technology popularization and application. After extensive pilot, China telecom has twice in 2010 and 2010 from the group level, and urging provinces to promote the application of high voltage dc power supply. Since then, the high voltage dc power supply in the China telecom in 2012 and 2013 also occupy the important position of power supply products purchasing.
Nowadays, high voltage dc power supply is gradually replace traditional UPS into the mainstream. For China telecom, compared with traditional ac UPS power supply, dc power supply reliability is higher. The power supply system in parallel rectifier module, battery are redundant relations, the overall reliability is higher than the individual components.
